Thank you for listening to our Finding Brave show, ranked in the Top 100 Apple Podcasts in Careers!

“If you have done something and if you have something unique that you can do, then you deserve to help other people do that. If you haven’t done it, what’s the damn point? You’re just lying to people.” - Jeremy Ryan Slate

At the age of 19, today’s Finding Brave guest had a near death experience as a routine surgery led him to receive last rites from a priest. He recovered and graduated with his masters degree into one of the worst job markets in history. He ended up working 16 hour days painting houses and managing a gym. When he landed his “dream job” as a teacher, he quickly realized it was not what he wanted to be doing with his life. That's when his incredible entrepreneurial journey began, and in this episode he offers the steps and skills that successful entrepreneurs, business people and artists can apply to create life on their own terms.

Jeremy Ryan Slate is the founder of the Create Your Own Life Podcast, a show to help people create life on their own terms at a world-class level. He studied literature at Oxford University, and is a former champion powerlifter turned new media entrepreneur. After his success in podcasting, Jeremy Slate and his wife, Brielle Slate, founded Command Your Brand Media to help entrepreneurs hone their message and impact thousands with the power of storytelling.

Not only is Jeremy’s personal story uplifting, but he provides so many tactical strategies that have helped him and his clients build recognized authority in their own niches. Jeremy’s strategies prove that it pays off to start small and form a solid foundation first in your business, and I’m sure that every listener can take so much value from the content he shares today.
